Mark 13:13 -And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Endure? Does this mean our own effort keeps us saved?

Hebrews 6:4-6 -For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

Does this really say that a Christian, once fallen away cannot be renewed unto repentance?

Matthew 3:7-10 -And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Does this point to our works ensuring our salvation?

Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Is this saying to work out our own salvation?

John 15:1-2 - Jesus said, "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away.

Jesus gives a distinction, stating "Every branch in Me". Meaning followers of Him.

James 5:19,20 - Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death.

The writer is speaking of Christians when he says "Brethren, if any among you..." Right?
Romans 11:22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

I was hoping for some answers to these statements which clearly seem to point towards a conditional salvation. There are too many verses defending this idea to be overlooked. Thank you.

Hebrews 6:4-6 is hypothetical. He is speaking if it were possible, but then goes on to say:

But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.
(Hebrews 6:9, KJV)
For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
(Hebrews 6:10, KJV)

The chapter goes on to explain how we should be in business and personal life. Something people don't think about, and I'm not saying you, just an example, but you'll know this to be true, a lot of people say they know Jesus, or have a personal relationship with Him, but if you look at the way they live it is obvious they do not have anything more than a Sunday afternoon service relationship, and in some cases not even that! You can not say you are something and expect people to believe it if you act totally contrary to what you say. We live by example, therefor we lead by example.

Once you are truly born again, you can not lose your salvation because if you can, we have absolutely NO chance. Paul himself claimed himself to be 'chief' among sinners. I highly doubt he was as bad or immoral as most are today, but regardless, he knew he was a sinner, he was sincerely reptentant of that, which is shown by the fact that though it may have been a small sin, it bothered him so bad he called himself chief. We know he truly believed, and he was repentent. And obviously he spread the Gospel and confessed the Name of the Lord, or we may not be here today. That is all that is required of the child of God.
1. Faith
2. Repentance
3. Obedience

You can fall away, but you do not lose your salvation, you may lose mortal privileges, and your punishment will be in this mortal realm, but you won't lose your salvation. Though when you get to heaven you may not get a crown. Which I don't even want to think about how bad that would feel! Talk about wanting to die! Last thing I want is to get by on the skin of my teath! But praise God he would allow me to and love me anyway. Just makes me want to do more.

Am I working my way into heaven? No! But because of the love God has given me, I am trying to share it with others. My new man is working out my salvation so that others will see it.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
(Romans 10:9, KJV)

Work out your own salvation... Confess the Lord Jesus Christ.

repent: To make a change for the better as a result of remorse or contrition for one's sins.

I have a question, I'm not meaning to be an antagonist, but 'repent' is a verb, it is an action, it requires an effort on our part. The Bible clearly speaks of how repentance plays a key role in our salvation. When one backslides that is the opposite of repenting.

Now, the definition of repent says to "make a change for the better" is it this state of change that keeps our salvation, what if this change is temporary, is our salvation temporary as well?

Repentance

It is a change of mind that brings about a change of life.( Websters 1828 and the KJV paraphrased   ) In other words the results of repentance and salvation is the start of a new creature. 2 Cor 5:17True repentance brings about change. 2 Cor 7  the Bible teaches that by their fruit ye shall know them, and a "christian" that bears no fruit nor exemplifies any change is merely a professing christian not one who posesses Christ.

Repentance does not mean perfection nor is it the opposite of backslidden.I believe backsliding is the gradual turning from the practice of the  faith or christianity that comes after salvation. Serving Jesus does not mean you are in a constant state of repentance. You repent once and then serve Jesus. Salvation is a complete work in our lives and is up to Christ to maintain it not us.(John 10) I realize it is a bold statement in just a couple paragraphs but I believe the Bible supports it 100%. I will be back on here to deal with it some more and Lord willing we will deal with it on an upcoming show.

Heb 9:12  Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

Heb 10:10  By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Heb 10:14  For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
