Street Preaching

  Payson First Baptist Church has been blessed with several men who have been called to preach, as well as many other young men who are willing to stand up for the cause of Christ and go out on the streets in two of Arizona's busiest locations;

Tempe - Home of Arizona State University
Flagstaff - Home of Northern Arizona University

  Both locations are lively college homes with bars gallore and restaurants a plenty. Not to mention some of this countries brightest minds, who've not been told the truth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

  Some men preach, some men hand out gospel tracts. All men long to see the Gospel shared with others.

Visitations

  Every Thursday evening several of the men of the church meet up and spend the evening visiting with some of the older church families or walking through a neighborhood knocking on doors. We make an effort to meet families and tell them about our Saviour, invite them to church and most importantly remind them that church membership does not get them to heaven, but a true repentant heart begging God for forgiveness.

Missionaries

  We support several missionaries around the world. Some of the missionaries we support are in country where it may not be safe to annouce what they are doing, for their safety we will not mention their names.

Internet Radio Show

  Monday evenings at 5:00 PM PST Pastor Anthony Garrisi from Payson First Baptist Church and Pastor Jason Burton from Haven Baptist Fellowship co-host The Contenders for the Faith. For over two years they have been fighting the wickedness of this world. Focusing on Christian controversy and conspiracies, they stand on the King James Bible and allow the Word of God to point out the wickedness in todays times.

  The Contenders for the Faith is a live call-in radio show, 1-800-433-1429 and will take your bible questions or comments. Every third Friday of the month is Hatefulness Hour, where you get the opportunity to 'vent your spleen'. Whatever that means! Nursing Home

"O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works. Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come." -- Psalms 71:17-18

  There are many precious souls who have been lost in the halls of nursing homes, not to mention those souls longing to hear more of the scriptures. What better friend could you have than Jesus Christ while sitting in a nursing home all alone to fill your thoughts with?

  A small group of men have dedicated themselves to singing and preaching at a local nursing home. The men rotate out so each one preaches about once a month. Who gets the bigger blessing is the real question. Some of these folks look forward all week long to singing and listening to the Word of God.
